IKEA LOGO


In 1926 the founder of IKEA Ingvar Kamprad was born in Smaland in Southern Sweden. At the age of five he starts selling matches to his nearby neighbors and by the time seven, he starts selling further things. In 1943, when Ingvar was 17, his father gave him a gift for succeeding in his studies, and the gift was used to establish his own business.

The name IKEA is formed from the founder initials (I.K) and the first letters of Elmtaryd and Agunnaryd; this is the farm and village where Ingvar grew up. The purpose of their business is to sold pens, picture frames, watches and wallets.
IKEA’s logo is the fundamental mark of their business and shows the purpose of their business, it has all the essentials which are necessary for any logo design.
