NEW FERRARI F-150 REVEALED FOR FORMULA 1, 2011 SEASON


Vigorous Speed, astounding thrill, immense enthusiasm and sheer adventure…what else these words would describe better than FORMULA 1, one of the eagerly awaited sport events of 2011. The exhilaration has reached to its peak. All the teams have accelerated their activities for the event. Ferrari is the first team to reveal its car for the season. The car is named as “FERRARI F-150”.

NAME INSPIRATION:

F-150, the name of the car is chosen to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Unification of Italy (a political event in 19th century that refers to amalgamation of different states of Italian Peninsula into a single state of Italy).

MODIFICATIONS:


Alterations and  Incorporations…

  • A hydraulically controlled adjustable rear wing and the KERS have been incorporated.
  • As per 2011 regulations, F-ducts and double diffusers have been removed.
  • The cooling system had to be altered due to the return of KERS.
  • The brake system has been redesigned.
  • The front part of the chassis has been raised
  • Bridgestone tyres have been replaced by Pirelli
  • The rear wing carries the flag of Italy.
