Biotechnology Logos

As a logo designer, you come across diverse range of business categories, some you know of and some of which sound and appear alien to you. For me, biotechnology used to be one of them. Okay so now that I have had my share of design blocks, I would like to help you guys out there who are starting, and want a kick ass logo for their biotechnology client.

First things first! Learn and understand what biotechnology is. According to Wikipedia,

“Any technological application that uses biological systems, living organisms, or derivatives thereof, to make or modify products or processes for specific use.”

So in simpler words, it’s the science that deals with primarily four areas of genetic engineering and has four areas of application including health care (medical), crop production and agriculture, non food (industrial) uses of crops and other products and environmental uses.

Now, when designing biotechnology logos, you should understand that graphics should have VITAL components, which should be attractive, represent and portray life, and of course should be simple too. Use natural colors, greens, blues, earth tones, will work just fine. Don’t use conservative fonts, make it appear friendly, green, and environmental friendly.
