Will Outdoor Advertising Put Print Media in the Shade?
When most people think of advertising they tend to think of two primary categories: traditional (print) media and new (digital) media. Few stop to think about the third category: outdoor advertising. Outdoor advertising is often lumped in with print ads but it really deserves its own space. This is largely because while people continue to doubt the future of print advertising, outdoor advertising is unlikely to ever go out of style.
As a very broad definition, outdoor advertising is any marketing that targets consumers outside of their homes. For example, posters on lamp posts, billboards, bus stops and buses themselves. Despite its endurance, outdoor advertising hasn’t escaped the digital revolution. Many billboards are now digitally operated and augmented reality has seeped into some of the busiest city centres to enthrall passersby.
International Peace Day – Celebration cum Evaluation
September 21, 2011…International Peace Day, Is it a call to celebrate or evaluate? And this surely is a big question.
It was in 1981 that United Nations General Assembly has declared World Peace Day. This day then gained more and more importance in the later years. The World Peace Day is celebrated by a temporary cease fire in the areas of war, so it’s a day of non-violence. It begins with ringing a “Peace Bell” at UN Headquarters; the bell is made by coins donated by children from every continent. Inside of the bell carries an inscription that reads: “Long Live Absolute World Peace.”The Bell was presented to United Nations by United Nations Association of Japan in 1954 as a symbol of peace.

Another Edition in Club 27, Amy Winehouse Found Dead
The British controversial singer Amy Winehouse, who was famous for her drug and drinking controversies more than her singing talent, was found dead in her home at 3:45PM on………..
The London metropolitan Police confirmed the death right away after visiting her house, located at Camden Town North London. However, the death is still a mystery and it has left a few unanswered questions.
As she was involved and caught in past for her heavy dosage of drug and alcohol; therefore, some people are wondering that it could be the possible reason as well.

Some hold the opinion that as she used to be involved in some sort of clashes with Paparazzi so it could also be a murder.
Amy Winehouse was Grammy award winner, a talented singer who has always been an inspiration for teen agers as well as the people who love dancing on the floor with powerful vocals and R&B type of music.
She was a song writer as well, as she had written almost all of her songs, including the famous track “REHAB”. Her debut album Frank was released in Jan 2003 and was one of the best album of the year in UK and nominated for the Mercury Price.
Her following album “Back to Black” was a critical hit as well and she also got nominated for 6 Grammy awards where she won 5 out six and stood as the most Grammy award winning female in a single night and first ever British female who won 5 Grammy awards in Britain’s music history.
Her different contralto vocals played the major part in her success, and no doubt she is a big loss for English music. After her fans came to know that the young lady died, they gathered with tears in their eyes and candles, teddy bears and flowers in their hands. It is a state of shock and deep sorrow for all of them.
I am a big fan of her actually, and today I went to her Facebook fan page, which I visit frequently from last couple of years but I found no comments, where on her single status update she used to get 10k feedback in a day, and this mournful moment made me write this post.
