F.C Barcelona Won UEFA Champions League 2011

Champions are back with a bang!

With all zest and zeal, the passionate Champions are back in lime light…On 28th May, 2011 the match started with indomitable enthusiasm and bubbling desire for a win in both the teams, F.C Barcelona and Manchester United. Presence of thousands of fans added flavor to this happening event.

Until the first half, both the teams stood on similar distance from victory, but soon after the break, this distance was reduced by one of the most professional and an unimpeachable soccer player of the history, Lionel Messi when he scored the second and the decisive goal for F.C Barcelona.

After an arduous fight, a third goal was placed by David Villa that marked the victory of F.C Barcelona against Manchester United. Untiring efforts, unlimited preparations and selfless support of thousands of fans finally paid off. Champions have bounced back and they have bounced back with a bang…Two Big titles this year, UEFA  League Champions and La Liga Champions.

The win was celebrated as an extravaganza by the fans of F.C Barcelona. The famous open-top bus parade was conducted to relish the success and to register the moment as a memorable one in the history.

Josep Guardiola, coach of champions, said, “Thanks so much to you all for making us feel so happy. We appreciate everyone who came out to greet us and also those who travelled with us to London. Your support through the year has been great and we hope to repeat these feats next year.”

The star of soccer, Lionel Messi said, “Long live Barca and long live Catalonia.”

It was an inspiring act of the captian, Carles Puyol, who gave Eric Abidal, the French International who has recently recovered from an operation to remove liver tumor, a chance to be the first to lift UEFA Champions League Trophy.
